Web Marketing For Local Business...

Hello again, and welcome to this second article on how to promote your local business using the Internet.

Today I'm going to share a simple strategy for generating hundreds or even thousands of additional visitors to your site by making a small change that can have a profound effect on your website traffic and earnings.

And most people either don't understand the importance of this or do it wrong.

What is it?

It's making sure you've correctly optimized your website's images so that you can get found by people searching through the Google and Yahoo image directories.

Action Steps

• Go through your website and add Keyword-rich Alt tags and Mouseover text to each graphic you have used

• Whenever possible, add keyword optimized pictures to your site's pages to attract additional traffic from Google and Yahoo Images

• Make sure the file names of all new images you add to your site use keywords in them for maximum search engine rankings

• Make sure the pages your pictures are on are optimized correctly for the same keywords so your site is congruent in the eyes of Google and Yahoo

Keep adding more content and optimized images and your organic search engine traffic will continue to grow over time. This technique is very effective because most people don't understand the importance of it yet or don't know what to do.
