The second biggest mistake I see friends and clients making with their websites is not finding enough quality link partners. 

Finding quality incoming links is growing in importance as search engines try to sort out the good sites from the Spam and rubbish that's plaguing the web today.

Before we go on, please listen to this short audio message -

It's only a matter of time before Google, Yahoo and the rest do something to remove the billions of Spam pages created by products such as Directory Generator and Traffic Equalizer, in fact it's already started and will continue to gather pace.

The fact that these products works is obvious - everywhere you go on the web you find these bulk Spam pages ranking well for all sorts of search terms.

They usually offer no content, they are just a collection of Google Adsense ads that people hope you'll click on to generate some passive inc0me.

The problem is, they don't provide any value to the web. They are just Spam, and the sooner they are eliminated, the better as far as many of us are concerned.

I feel that the best way for Google and the others to quickly and easily find and remove these pages will be to look at incoming links and even more heavily weight sites with lots of quality, diverse inks and de-rate sites with no incoming links.

When you think about it, it's obvious that nobody's going to link to a site whose only content is a re-hashed article and/or some Google ads.

These sites are easy to spot using Google's technology and will be quickly found and de-listed. If your site doesn't have incoming links, you could be caught up in this and penalized along with the bad sites.

The message is clear - get incoming links quickly from quality websites.

The other great way of getting lots of incoming links is to write short articles and submit them to article directories and ezine publishers.

Not only do you get a good incoming link from the Article Directory, you get additional links coming to your website when other webmasters take your article from the directory and put it on their website.

Over time, you can generate thousands of incoming links to your site as the viral effect takes hold. 

People see your article, take it and use it. Other people read it, like it, and put it on their own site. The effect can be huge if you write short, quality articles that offer great content to your readers.

Now submitting to all of these Directories manually is fine, but it's a huge drain on your time. I use ArticleMarketer.com to automatically to thousands of editors who are actively looking for fresh content.

Your time is much better spent writing new content than sitting at your computer manually submitting articles, especially when you can you can outsource it so inexpensively.
